Community & Culture

Public festivals, national day programmes, charity events and forums — engineered for large crowds that keep moving between zones.

Community & Culture

Public events are outdoors, free to attend and impossible to rehearse with the real audience. The technical design has to stay intelligible in a moving crowd, in wind, and at a level the authorities are comfortable with.

We work closely with the organising committee on permits, sound limits, crowd barriers and the firework or drone window, then write one schedule that every supplier on site works to.

City festivals and public zones

A city festival is usually several zones with one central programme. We provide distributed sound for announcements, screens at the entrances and a stage package that can be re-configured when the walk-in pattern turns out differently to the plan.

Weather is part of the design: shade for the crew, IP-rated connections, wind monitoring on anything flown and a documented shutdown procedure for the effects.

National day and civic programmes

Civic events carry protocol. We plan the sequence of anthems, speeches, presentations and the ceremonial moment with the organising committee, then lock timecode across audio, lighting, screens and the sky show.

Rehearsals happen at the same hour as the event wherever possible, so the lighting and projection are balanced against the real sky rather than a daylight approximation.

Fireworks, drones and sky shows

Everything that leaves the ground needs a permit, a safe zone and a playback path that cannot drift. We drive pyro and drone sequences from timecode, with a manual hold that is tested in rehearsal and a second operator watching the sky.

The final sequence is checked against the wind forecast on the day, and the show caller has an agreed abbreviated version ready if conditions change an hour before launch.

Charity and community events

Community organisers rarely have a technical team of their own, so we work as one. Kit is specified to the budget, the schedule is written in plain language and a volunteer briefing is included before doors.

After the event the same crew strikes the site, hands back the venue and leaves a written note of what to change next year. Most of these events come back the following season.
